The guy who created this short said he wanted to make a short film about a superhero addicted to heroin, but he made this instead. This is definitely a short that makes the most of its time. Packed with plot it is the story of the Bumblebee King who falls in love with a woman from outside of his hive, upsetting his ‘court’, one of whom sets into motion a plan to have the new Queen removed. And they do all this while speaking old English and injecting honey into their veins. It’s the kind of short that takes itself so seriously that you can not help but laugh. You should totally catch this Shakespearean tale of woe and bumble bees and ‘watch the Bumblebee Man fly…’
