The absolute fan favorite of the festival (and the short that closed the festival with I Sell the Dead), this is what’s being billed as ‘a Christmas tree exploitation movie’ and it is spectacular. Unfortunately I hadn’t seen Hobo with a Shotgun so I didn’t know what to expect. I was NOT disappointed. Director Jason Eisner was on site to introduce it and he said that, essentially, he made this short for Adam and After Dark, which is a sign of just how far this festival has come (more on that later). In essence it is about the life of a Christmas tree, short though it is, and what happens when they mobilize and take their ‘TREEVENGE’! Check out the short and check out the page, because they’re doing a feature length Hobo with a Shotgun and you want to catch everything this guy has ever done, or will ever do. Trust.
