I had a rough week last week, but when I went spelunking through news coverage of the Globes for something about The Wrestler on Friday, I found this photo and it instantly lifted my spirits. I love Meryl Streep. I love that she has a body of work larger than my closet. I love that she has a spirit and a work ethic that can not be stopped. And I love that this was what she did when she won for Doubt. This is genuine joy. For a job very well done.
I took a note from her and had the most wonderful weekend, surrounded by movies and comics (my two favorite things besides pizza and my husband – and I generally like to consume those things together) and people who love me, very, very much.
