in festivals

Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival starts tonight in Toronto with two galas. For those of you either not from Toronto or not familiar, Hot Docs is the largest documentary film festival in North America, offering some of the best international and local documentary films available. With a very impressive roster of films this year, I’m covering only a very few, however, I’ll be certain to link you to some other bloggers in my area who are covering the festival more extensively. More after the jump.

This year I will be seeing:

Zombie Girl
Best Worst Movie
Carmen Meets Borat
Korean Wedding Chest
Action Boys
About Face: The Story of Gwendellin Bradshaw
Grandmother’s Flower
Old Partner
The Cove
Diary Of A Time Square Thief

I’m really looking forward to all of these. The festival runs from April 30 to May 10 this year and it looks like it’s shaping up to be a great time! Check back for more updates.
