Yesterday I only had once screening, as I do for the rest of the week, but it was a great one. As mentioned I went to see About Face: The Story of Gwendellin Bradshaw which is a movie I think everyone should see.
I saw it at The Royal and I’d never been there before. It’s a pretty great little theatre, but you’d never know it from the outside. I’ll be a repeat customer for sure. One tip though? The guy who sat in front of me, came in late and made himself quite comfortable, taking his shoes off and resting them on the seat in front of him. Maybe, if you’re a regular there, don’t sit three rows back in the first two seats for a while (on the right when facing the screen). I did, however, sit beside a lovely young lady who was a perfect moviegoer. It was mighty refreshing.
I’ll be posting my review of About Face later today because I needed to sit with it overnight. It’s got a lot in it and I had a very personal connection to some of Gwen’s struggles, so I just need a day to get some distance and be able to tell you how amazing this movie is without tripping over all my own stuff. Please check back. The movie is so worth your time.
