Well, I’m not sure if I’ve ever said so, and I’m not sure how she knew, but Grey Goose is my absolute favorite brand of vodka (no pun intended) and there is no form of alcohol I like more than vodka. I’ll mix it with almost anything. So when I received an email last week from Grey Goose’s PR rep for this party asking if I’d like some pic when it was all over, I of course said yes.
Along with Grey Goose’s blog, I’ve managed to put together the pieces of this party and, well, it looked like it was an awesome time. Attended by Elizabeth Banks, Kevin Pollock, Sam Riley, Quentin Tarantino and, best of all, Anvil.
Here’s an excerpt from his blog:
“After all, first impressions count for a lot in Cannes – the ‘wow’ factor cannot be overestimated, and it was here in spades. It was hardly surprising, therefore, that the party drew the biggest names in Cannes toward it, like moths to a particularly beautiful flame. At a party filled with extraordinarily gorgeous women, Hollywood brought some of its biggest guns, with W star, Elizabeth Banks, Watchmen’s Malin Akerman and Paula Patton, star of one of the early hits of the festival, Precious, all showing up looking like a million dollars. At least.
In one corner, on the balcony, Quentin Tarantino, here with his latest film, the WWII action movie Inglourious Basterds, held court, his loud, booming, infectious laugh pinpointing his position long before you could make him out in the gloom. While in another corner, American comedian and actor Kevin Pollak – here to promote Middle Men – gabbled away with one of Tarantino’s cast, Samm Levine; enough to send a little shiver down my film fan’s spine as I realised that a Basterd talking to one of the Usual Suspects. I’ve already started work on the screenplay…”
Don’t you wish you were there? I mean, more than usual? yep. Me too. Also, For your enjoyment and mine, pics attached above.
