Toronto After Dark, Toronto’s horror, cult and sci-fi film festival has announced its first 8 films – and this year looks amazing!
Every year this festival gets better and this year there is some stuff I am really, really excited about. Take a look at this brilliant lineup:
TRICK ‘R’ TREAT – Four interconnected stories on Halloween.
GRACE – Zombie baby. ‘Nuff said.
VAMPIRE GIRL VS FRANKENSTEIN GIRL – The title appears to say it all… except that it’s Japanese, so this will be 100% pure crazy.
FRANKLYN – Eva Green. Oh, and if you need more incentive, it’s also a steampunky futury flick. But I reiterate: Eva Green.
THE FORBIDDEN DOOR – Mentally unstable artist grapples with the idea that something is behind the door in his new house. Creeeeee-py.
EMBODIMENT OF EVIL – A flick about a guy named Coffin Joe (Snort) in his bloody search to find a woman to carry his child… This is both hilarious and revolting to me. I’m in.
BLACK – Heist movie.
SOMEONE’S KNOCKING AT THE DOOR – Apparently about a group of kids who are trying to evade a serial killer after just taking an experimental psychedelic. But that sounds like my Saturday night.
Just writing that made me wish it was August. I want to see every single one of those! Check out the lineup and descriptions for yourself here and remember, All Access Passes are on sale right now and tickets go on sale on July 29, the same day as the full festival lineup is announced. Whatcha waiting for? Go get tickets. Now. Zombie baby. The festival runs August 14th to 21st.

I can’t wait! Well, I guess we have to, but I certainly don’t wanna. I wonder if Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl used more fake blood that Tokyo Gore Police.. it’s hard to tell but I think they look like close contenders.
So excited for Franklyn, Black and of course Grace – Zombie baby ftw!

You’re not kidding. I really can’t wait and yet, it seems we have to! Adam and crew have really outdone themselves this year!
