Toxic Avenger Musical Heading for Toronto

Oh man I am so all over this! A musicaal based on the Troma movie Toxic Avenger is coming to Toronto. It’s being done by DanCap (Mirvish’s only real competition) and it’s written by Bon Jovi keyboard player David Bryan (!!!) and Joe DiPietro (???). It opens on Halloween. So I totally know what I’m doing for Halloween this year! I heart Troma very much, even though they are becoming increasingly outdated and uncouth as the years go by, but I still love them irrationally anyhow.

Wohoo! Doesn’t this sound like fun? I’m so glad we are bringing this show – and a fun venue too. We have a facebook page if you’d like to join and we’ll be sending a Toxic Contingent to the Toronto Zombie Walk as well you are welcome to join in. Keep in touch and when tickets go on sale August 7 I’ll give you a code for savings on the first 10 performances (Oct 24-30). I can also see about tickets to opening night on Halloween though I don’t know if they are going on sale to the public – it may be invitation only.

If you get a chance, this is my review of the Toxie Musical. It premiered in New Jersey and man was it fun! You’re going to love it! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

@ Kevin: Hey Kevin! That would be excellent! I’m really, really excited about this. I saw BatBoy a few years ago and laughed the entire way through. It’s too bad I might not be able to go on opening night, but I’ll live.

@Sexy Armpit: That review really only made me MORE excited. It sounds like it’s just made of awesome. Thanks for the link!
