How is it possible that *Night at the Museum 2* beat out Terminator Salvation at the box office? Terminator sucked my balls, that’s how. And I’m pretty sore about it so I’d prefer if we didn’t discuss it.

Thank you to all those of you who sent messages of concern and well wishes for my husband. It meant a great deal to me. He’s doing much better and we changed the dressing last night (the things you’ll do when you’re married). Everything looks like it will be on it’s way to healing, although he’s far from fine.

Well, despite the less than stellar showing by McG and his crew on the weekend, we still have something to look forward to – UP and Drag Me to Hell open this weekend and thank goodness for that.

Alas. I have sad news to report. My husband hurt his hand quite badly at work yesterday and we spent the evening in emergency. I did not get to see Salvation last night. Despite all outward appearances my husband still remains more important than Terminator. I’m going to try to catch it over the weekend.

Also, this has sadly brought my Inside Out coverage to a halt. While I did immensely enjoy Barnard and Doris last night, it will be my last film covered this year as I’m needed around the house to help out a little while in the critical healing stage.

It’s today. Today’s the day. Today we get to see John Connor finally get the treatment he really deserves by a very talent, but fiery, method actor in a future we couldn’t possibly imagine? The last movie I was this excited about was The Dark Knight and look how well that turned out. Has McG done it? Has he provided us with the deep, soulful, chaotic, grimy, and torrid future we always dreamed of? We’ll see. Tonight at 10:45. I can’t wait.

Another night at Inside Out and another interesting movie. These ones are taking me a little more time to digest, so I’m taking my time writing them.

And, so um, yeah…. anyone else watch Deadliest Warrior? The Maori would totally kick the Shaolin Monk’s butt any day of the week and twice on Sunday. No question. Screw the computers.

I am sad that my holiday weekend is over. But glad that there are only 4 days left of this week to get through. Short weeks are always good, non?

Terminator: Salvation is only 2 days away and I am debating the merits of a Wednesday midnight showing. Is Terminator worth losing *that* much sleep over? We’ll have to see.

It’s a lovely Victoria Day Monday here in Toronto. Colder than I would like, but that’s pretty par for the course. At least it didn’t snow on those poor campers.

Got out to see Angels & Demons on the weekend and I have to say I was pretty impressed. Although The Da Vinci Code didn’t set the bar very high…

Big week this week. I’m covering the Inside Out Festival and, best of all, Terminator: Salvation opens on Thursday. Looking forward to a great week of blogging.

So I caught up on Supernatural last night. Ho-lee crap they’re getting down and dirty. I’m all geared up for the season finale tonight. Let’s hope we don’t send anyone to hell because of a plot corner we wrote ourselves into because of a strike.

So last night I got talked into going to the Troll 2 screening at the Bloor. Troll 2 is the movie that Best Worst Movie was made about. It’s true, it’s pretty close to the worst movie ever made, but oh-my-various-gods did I have fun. And they got George on the phone from Alabama too. Good, good times. Also, caught up with the crew from Scott Pilgrim. More on that in a few.

I have done it. I have finished my Hot Docs coverage. I loved every moment of my experience with this festival and guess what? The nest one starts on Friday. Inside Out, Toronto’s LGBT Film and Video Festival starts officially with a gala on Thursday night and continues until May 24 which, incidentally, overlaps with the Over the Top festival. Oh man we’re a little spoiled here in Toronto, but we’re also pretty tired!
