I went to see State of Play (awesome!) and last night I caught the most horrible Casper Van Dien movie on Spike. It was called Mask of the Ninja or some crap. It’s the kind of thing you toss on while you fight with the code for 5 little tiny social bookmarking icons. Casper is never not a riot. Also checked out Adrift in Tokyo but that review will come tomorrow.
What about you? Or did you just save it all for this Friday? (Ahem, X-Men Origins: Wolverine?)
I saw Rashomon and Seven Samurai, as well as Never Been Kissed (plus 50 Fist Dates and Charlie Angels… it was Drew Barrymore weekend on Diva. I got sucked in, what can I say?). And I managed to write about most of those!
How about you? Did you see anything in the theatre? At home? Ole? New? Tell me…
With all the flurry of coming back after a holiday weekend, I totally forgot to ask! Okay, so I watched a crazy Japanese film called Wild Zero and a little film about Gypsies in Serbian called Black Cat, White Cat (more on both of these later). I finally saw Haunting in Connecticut and didn’t hate it as much as everyone else did, although I *REALLY* could have done without the kids kicking my seat for two hours. Obviously, I also watched The Brood and Last Night, both of which were the highlight of the weekend.
How about you? Anything awesome? Or horrible?
Me? I watched Normal and the two Wright Stuff movies. It was a busy weekend. How about you?
In the theatre? On DVD? An old favorite? Tell me what you saw and what you thought.
For me, I saw Monsters vs. Aliens and Hansel and Gretel in the theatre. Reviews up today and tomorrow. I also knocked two movies off of a very Embarrassing List: Blade Runner and Suspiria. Thoughts up today and tomorrow.
You?
