I was out at Yonge and Dundas square yesterday and there is no shortage of stuff going on. In addition to the Worldwide Short Film Festival, the beginning of Pride Week and the start of the “good weather”, there was also the North by Northeast music and film festival. There’s always stuff going on at Y&D but yesterday was especially hoppin’. I found this guy drawing this on the sidewalk outside the Eaton Centre and tossed some cash into his coffers so I could take these pics. In honor of the fact that Transformers – Revenge of the Fallen (ahem, Transformers – ROTF[L]) opens to uproarious laughter this week, I thought I would post these. Mostly because Optimus is just erally cool and this guy did a good job.
I have to be honest, I’m just about to get ALL over Scott Pilgrim, which means you’re about to hear a whole heck of a lot about it. After a couple of months of just taking the ride on Edgar Wright’s own blog it has expanded into its own production blog. Love it. New favorite thing. Holy crap what a May. I cant’ remember a May in recent memory that was this good and this big. Remember last year? There was Iron Man, Speed Racer (ahem, bombed), Prince Caspian, Indy 4 and Sex in the City. Not what I would call a stellar line up. That came in July. But this year, with Wolverine, Star Trek, Angels & Demons, Terminator Salvation and UP it was non-stop entertainment all month long. Let’s take a look at how they did. Keep reading…
